BreastScreen SA acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout South Australia, and their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respect to all First Nations peoples, their cultures and to their Elders, past and present.

BreastScreen SA provides a truly statewide service, striving to ensure that eligible women can access regular breast screens, no matter where they live.

We travel to you – mobile screening units

Our 3 mobile screening units travel to more than 40 outer metropolitan, rural and remote locations every 2 years. This means our mobile units and teams are travelling year-round to provide breast cancer screening to as many South Australian women as possible.

The mobile units are staffed by a dedicated team of radiographers and receptionists. Each unit has a state-of-the-art screening mammography unit on board, and a wheelchair lift for disability access.

Find out when the mobile screening unit will be closest to you on Our Locations page. Mobile unit schedules are organised 2 years in advance.

Group bookings

We know community support is important for women living in rural and remote areas. If you’d like to get together with friends and family to come as a group, we can arrange a group booking.

For a group, we book a series of appointment times on the same day and each woman has a private breast screen appointment.
