Sensory Friendly Clinic
At our sensory friendly clinics, you will be welcomed into a calm, supportive space by our female staff.
Our staff working in these clinics have been trained in sensory processing, and we have made modifications to the clinic environment to create a more warm and inviting space for our clients.
As part of these clinics, there will be:
- a longer appointment time
- fewer people in the clinic
- more space to wait for the appointment
- customised lighting
- a fragrance-free environment
- support to use headphones to listen to music
- sensory relaxation tools
Our staff will be aware of any individual needs that you have shared with us when booking so they can support you to feel more comfortable during your breast screen appointment. We also encourage you to let our staff know on the day if there is anything else we can do to improve your experience. We will also invite you to share your feedback about the experience.
